The red army invaded Poland in 1920, 2 years after my country was able to break free from this oppressive regimes, after 123 years of prosecution and destruction of our identity by germans and russians. The have destroyed half of poland and were stopped at the miracle at vistula battle, then after being beaten by Polish forces, they signed a peace agreement in RIga and after just 18 years invaded again with the germans. This invasion lead to Katyn massacre, where red army troops cold bloodedly murdered 22000 Polish army, police and border guard officers. After Polish government escaped to London, Moscow denounced it and after repelling german operation Barbarossa, install a communist government 100% loyal to them. During Germany's retreat, they slaughtered or send to siberia ALL Polish underground fighters and didn't help when Warsaw uprising happened, even though they were literally on the other bank of the river. And when Germany eventually surrendered then literally striped EVERY last one piece of working machinery of every mine, factory or warehouse across all of parts of Germany that Poland was supposed to get after the war (Poland wasn't spared either, but it was not that drastic). This destruction of remaining german industry and taking millions of german soldiers to work in siberian work camps was in Stalin's eyes paying for all of destroyed eastern Europe by Germans, even though Poland didn't get absolutely anything out of that. And I didn't even mentioned the biggest economic sin of soviets. They forced Polish government to reject money from Marshalls Plan. Saying that Communism saved eastern Europe is an insult to all my People that suffered from soviet hand from 1920-1921 and 1939-1989. I didn't even started to mention all of the completely idiotic soviet decisions, like starving ukraine and that the every one Pole that i know who worked in communist years says that literally everybody was stealing absolutely everything and that there was a saying that whether you were standing or lying you would get your wage.
